As of the most recent images, comet C/2025 F2 SWAN has disintegrated and failed to survive its close encounter with the sun. The nucleus has disintegrated, leaving behind only a clump of gas and dust that is rapidly dissipating into space. The cometโ€™s magnitude has surpassed 10. These are the latest images I captured last night, which clearly demonstrate the absence of a nucleus. The observation series has concluded prematurely, but there are more comets expected to arrive in the future. Stay tuned.

Since the weather conditions are showing rain for Northern Ireland on Friday morning during the eclipse, the livestream may be cancelled. Letโ€™s hope the weather conditions arenโ€™t as bad as the weather apps are showing.

An Update on C/2017 K2 PANSTARRS after 2 and a half years later after my series ended! Just shows how active this comet really is when itโ€™s currently near Saturnโ€™s orbit moving away from the sun. Its magnitude is 15.1.
