Hailing from Brooklyn during a revitalization of the New York rock scene, Atomic Tom grew up surrounded by indie giants Interpol, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and the Strokes. Atomic Tom crafted their inaugural album, titled The Moment, in the confines of a third-floor Brooklyn apartment with mics in the bathtub and amps piled high in the bedroom closet while fending off noise complaints and a generous detective or two.
After their album release was delayed, Atomic Tom took their career back by filming their iPhone performance of “Take Me Out” on the New York B Train and their performance racked up 2 million views in less than a week. The stunt propelled Atomic Tom on a year-long tornado that included performances on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, George Lopez Tonight!, Rachel Ray, CNN, E!.
The sophomore album ERA was independently released in 2015. Their single “Someone to Love” was featured on the New Music Friday, Alt-Good and Chill playlists. Their third full length album arrives this Spring 2025.
