- Amounts exceeding Rs 25 crore during the same period: 20% stamp duty reduction and a penalty of Rs 1 crore.

The Unit 3 of the crime branch under the Mira Bhayander Vasai Virar police commissionerate has detained the director of Mandar Housing Pvt Ltd in Bengaluru, while several of his associates remain at large. The company, engaged in projects in Nalasopara and Virar, is accused of defrauding over 150 customers between 2011 and 2018, with cheating complaints filed at the Virar (west) Arnala police station.
The crime branch initiated efforts to apprehend the primary suspect as part of their inquiry into pending cases. The accused claimed to have provided apartments below market value, but police suspect that the residential towers were constructed using forged documents. 🏗️
The main accused, conducting business from his Bengaluru residence, was taken into custody by a team on Thursday and faces charges of cheating and forgery. He remains in police custody until November 9, with authorities actively searching for other involved parties. 🕵️♂️
The accused individuals allegedly showcased two or three apartments to 55 potential buyers, finalizing sale agreements. It was later discovered that these apartments were sold to multiple individuals. Furthermore, buyers were assured of interest payments if the delivery of their apartments was delayed. 💸
