The Port of Fujairah is the only multi-purpose port on the east coast of the UAE overseeing and managing one of the world's two biggest anchorages in the world. An average of 14000 ships visit the anchorage annually with the bulk of them being oil tankers, lpg and lng carriers. It is arguably the world's biggest bunkering centre. Fujairah's rapidly growing oil storage capacity is transforming Fujairah into the oil trading hub of the region too. The port has dedicated oil terminals and a soon to be commissioned deep water VLCC berth nearing completion.
