About
Market Street Station was formed in 2021 on an out-of-service Muni train from the fumes of urban escapism and San Francisco fog. The duo, composed of Garrett Wilmoth and Dar Mackani, makes music out of their Tenderloin apartment and inspires the City’s weary commuters to break free of the rat race. MS2’s queer identities inform their lyrics and themes, and their influences range from classic rock to folk, funk, and punk. In 2022, they self-released their breakout single STAB ME!!, which set the stage for their first EP, Urban Incident No. 1. Since then, they have played some local shows and are slated to release their first full album in 2025 in partnership with 4Against Music Group.
