Instead of a new spec video this week, I'll be hosting a livestream Sunday at 10 AM PST to review the latest SK8CAD updates! This includes how to design with progressive kicks, how to make fingerboards, how design saving/loading works, the new Shape Library, and new interactive tools.

There's now a "Maker Map" at sk8cad.com/ where you can find board builders and suppliers around the world!
Makers: You can create an account for free, following the video here: https://youtu.be/wz8-wdyZa5w
Skaters: Check back on this map often to find builders in your area or niche/small brands you'd like to support.
Suppliers: You can stand out on the map with a "Pro" (premium boards, OEM, etc.) or "Supplier" (veneer, molds, graphics, etc.) account.

If you're not already familiar with it: SK8CAD is a skateboard/longboard design tool that allows you to download 3D and 2D files for 3D printing and/or CNC machining board molds and shaping boards. sk8cad.com/

Hey friends! I have two quick announcements:

1) This Friday, 12/17, at 12:00 noon Pacific Time (UTC/GMT -8), I'll be hosting a SK8CAD tutorial livestream here on YouTube. I'll be going over how to use SK8CAD, how the parameters affect board performance, mold design considerations, and more. If you have any interest in designing and building custom boards and/or ordering custom boards from our shop, you'll want to check this out. (SK8CAD is our skateboard and skateboard mold design software - builders: check out sk8cad.com; skaters: check out shop.opensourceboards.com/collections/boards.)

2) We reached 5,000 subscribers!! Thank you for your support! It really means a lot! I have a video in the works that I'm very excited to share that I've been working on since the summer. Stay tuned soon for its release! Please continue to like and share videos that help you, as this really helps me grow the channel. Also, I was thinking of maybe doing a livestream skate session to celebrate... would you want to be part of something like that? We could chat about skate tricks, board setup, etc. I'm not really sure how it would work, livestreaming and skating around, but I'm down to try if you think it'd be fun! Let me know in the comments :) .
