Hi everyone!

I did a review where I tested the Dehancer Film Emulation Plugin for DaVinci Resolve. I’m a huge fan of analog photography (mostly due to picture quality and nostalgia) and I encourage you to try out the plugin or the app for iOS in case you’re looking to achieve the analog or vintage look on digital.

The results I got are quite remarkable and I’m currently in the process of editing my short film using the plugin. I’m looking forward to revisit the whole process when I finish the film’s colorization.

Thanks,
Cristian

I’ve made a short recap with the photos I’ve taken on the trip to The Hague & Amsterdam and on top of that I have added the photographs taken in Brussels. This was a pretty week in two of my favourite countries.

It was an exhausting road trip due to almost 24 hours spent in order to get to our first destination, but in the end it paid off. The full story in this video.

To me, analog photography is mostly represented by emotion. It defines it. On digital you can shoot without limit. And you can see everything you just shot right away. It allows you to correct the shot, make it better. When it comes to analog, we go back a little in time to when photography was created. We get a bit of nostalgia and a bit of diversity. A bit of personality coming from each film roll. We get to be imperfect, we are allowed to be real and we get to capture the beauty of this world. Sometimes, the beauty makes you cry; some other times it makes you laugh. Sometimes it's just all disappointing. And you don't get to see what you feel right away, you have to wait until the roll passes through its natural process; it's developed and scanned.

I re-share with you some of the photos I took in Oslo a few years ago. These were shot on my late Minolta X-700 (RIP), my first film camera and to this date one of my favourites. Unfortunately I never managed to get it to a camera shop and get it fixed, however this camera has been with me during my film photography baby steps.

I'm currently working on a video that will cover my time in Brussels from last month & also I will work soon on a shooting in the mountains of Romania - which I will cover in a future video as well.

Hello!

In mid September I’ve been to the Netherlands & Belgium where I had the pleasure to spend a lovely week with my girlfriend and with my Canon AE-1, shooting a few rolls of Black & White film (Rollei, Agfa and Ilford/Kentmare) in The Hague, Amsterdam and Brussels.

During the upcoming weeks I will release a trilogy dedicated to these three cities and I will start in the morning with the stunning The Hague (which was also my favorite city of the three in terms of cultural environment).

Thank you,
Cristian

Hi everyone,

First of all, thank you all for subscribing to my channel.

I would like to thank everyone who has ever came by my channel during the last years, who have both liked and disliked my videos, but who have viewed and most importantly those of you have stayed.

Apologies to those who have written me messages and I haven’t replied. The editing of the clips was time consuming enough to not be able to engage even more - even though I would have loved to. Because I love what I do on YouTube. And I would love to be able to connect to it 24/24.

Many of you have written to me and asked me why I’m not creating anymore. It’s been more than a year since the last time I’ve uploaded a clip. Well, besides being caught with a daily office job, the videos I’ve created have only been a passion of mine. Something I would do with my spare time, something that would help me explore a creative mood and also be able to express feelings. But I’ve never seen YouTube as something I would do everyday.

All of my videos that contain clips from movies are not monetised. Which make up for more than 90% of my channel. As I mentioned in my descriptions; I don’t do that for money. It’s not my content. I’m having fun doing, but it’s not something I pretend money from for obvious reasons; the music and the images are not mine, all I own is the editing. The authors/creators deserve all the praise and all the money for their art. Therefor I always flag the fact that I’m not monetising the content and I never had.

In the last few months I’ve considered the things in my life that make me happy. Therefor, I’ve decided to take a few steps towards what I love to do. I’m planning to work on different type of content that explore film photography (which I have also done in the past on this channel) and travel vlogging content. At the same time, I would like to continue to create from time to time content that made you subscribe to this channel. Which I would like to do in parallel. Because as I mentioned, I always loved doing that. And it hasn’t changed now.

What I ask you is your support. If you support my original content going forward, then I would also be able to continue creating the content that you originally loved on this channel. If I just keep uploading only content that is at risk of getting blocked for copyright, then my account might get terminated and no one would win from that; not me and not the creators who monetize the content.

Thank you.

A tribute to one of the movies that have been an inspiration for me since I first came across it some years ago. It is art that inspires and pushes us to create and to exist.
