Hello everyone, it’s been a while! I’m excited to upload a new video today and share some good news with you. I recently took Otorong for her regular heart check-up, and thankfully, her heart condition hasn’t worsened. We’ll continue keeping an eye on her every few months. To prevent further complications, I’ve also been working on gradually reducing her weight. She currently weighs 6.5 kg (14.33 lbs).

This month, I also took Otorong to the dentist, and she had to have one of her molars extracted. Other than that, her health is doing well, which I’m really relieved about. As for Hati, with winter approaching, he’s been shedding a lot more fur, so I’ve been making sure to brush him carefully.

I’ve been thinking a lot about what kind of videos to upload next, and I feel that observing them more closely for a longer period, just like I did before, might be the best approach. So, I’ve made this video a bit longer than usual. I’ll be back with more good news soon!

Thanks for watching!

Hi everyone, it's been a while! As usual, the long rainy season and the noise from cicadas during summer caused some delays with filming. Now that the weather is starting to clear up, I was thinking about what kind of video to make next and decided to start with a simple snack video.

I also wanted to share an update with you. Since Otorong's heart disease diagnosis, I've been thinking a lot about what kind of content would be meaningful going forward, but I haven't found the answer yet. So, I had an idea: how about creating videos based on what you, our subscribers, want to see?

If you could leave your suggestions for video formats or topics in the comments, I’ll carefully consider them for future videos. Thanks for your support, and I look forward to your ideas!

Hello, subscribers!

After my last post about my cats' health, I quickly signed a lease for a new house and moved in two days ago.

The cats are still adjusting to the new home and seem a bit on edge. However, the new place is four times more spacious than our previous home, and Otorong has become more active. Hati, on the other hand, seems a bit defensive as he gets used to the new surroundings.

Right after we moved, Otorong stopped coughing and sneezing, which makes me think the air quality in our old neighborhood was poor and caused her symptoms. While it's great that she stopped coughing, Otorong still has a scar on her nose from the medication side effects. The tests for mold and bacteria came back negative, so it seems to be a scar. It's unfortunate that the vets aren't sure how to proceed with her treatment.

Anyway, most of the unpacking is done, and once the cats are fully settled in, I'll make and upload a new video. Thanks for your patience as always.

Hello, dear subscribers.

It's been a while since my last post, but I have some unfortunate news to share with you. The following is not good news, but because you all love my cats, I think it’s better that you know.

Please be aware that this is a sad update.

Recently, my health has improved a lot, and I've been filming whenever I could. Although I've shot many videos, I haven’t uploaded them. Many of these videos remain unedited because I noticed signs of illness in my cats during filming. I had to focus on their treatment, which disrupted my filming schedule.

Here’s an update on the current health status of my cats:

- Hati’s Health

Since Hati's last surgery for a hairball-induced bowel obstruction, he had to undergo another operation. This time, I noticed he wasn’t eating and was vomiting, so I took him to the emergency room immediately. The hairball was lodged in the duodenum, but due to quick action, the surgery was successful, and he was discharged promptly.

The problem now is that he struggles to pass hairballs. I groom him at least twice a day, but his appetite has become very picky. He sometimes refuses to eat his usual food, which requires constant attention. Once, after he started leaving his food, he vomited again within a day and was diagnosed with acute fatty liver disease, requiring hospitalization. Fortunately, his liver enzyme levels normalized quickly, but I’m now carefully transitioning his food to suit his changed tastes.

- Otorong’s Health

After Hati started eating less, I searched for a good food that both Hati and Otorong could enjoy, settling on Royal Canin’s Indoor 7+ formula. While transitioning to this food over two weeks, Otorong’s stool became loose, leading to diarrhea when the new food ratio increased. I treated her with antibiotics, but then a faint fungal-looking spot appeared on her nose.

A local vet prescribed ointment and disinfectant, but within 12 hours, Otorong’s nose became red and swollen. Despite the vet insisting it wasn’t a problem, I remembered their past misdiagnoses, such as when they failed to detect Otorong’s bladder stones and diabetes and misdiagnosed Hati’s bowel obstruction. So, I took Otorong to the larger downtown hospital for a reevaluation, where we decided to stop the treatment. She improved significantly within a day.

However, there is another issue...

While at the larger hospital, I also requested a detailed examination for Otorong. The sneezing that contributed to her diabetes diagnosis the year before last has never been fully resolved, and Otorong still sneezes intermittently about once a day. Therefore, I suspected the local vets might have missed something.

During the examination, we discovered that Otorong’s NT-proBNP level had risen to 268. Last December, it was below 50, but in just five months, it had increased to 268. The vet said this elevated level indicates a high likelihood of heart disease.

Yesterday, I prayed it wasn’t heart disease, but an echocardiogram revealed that Otorong’s heart wall thickness increased from 0.48mm to 0.75mm over two years, and the left atrium-to-aorta ratio rose from 1.37 to 1.5. She was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), one of the most severe feline diseases, with no cure and progressive worsening.

Currently, Otorong is in the B1 stage without evident complications, so no medication is needed yet. There’s a slim chance it might be a temporary condition, but it’s very unlikely. We must monitor her heart every six months, and if symptoms appear, she might only have four years left.

Knowing that my time with her is limited due to such a severe illness breaks my heart. I cried all evening after returning from the hospital, and I’m still tearful. My priority now is to ensure Otorong isn’t stressed. Despite high real estate costs, I’m looking for a larger home to provide more space for my cats as soon as possible.

I will continue filming and creating videos, but the content might change. The fun videos I occasionally make may become less frequent. During this remaining time, I want to make happy memories with my cats. This has always been my channel’s purpose. Despite not yet monetizing my channel, I keep making videos as an extension of what I’ve always done and to preserve these memories forever. When I look back, I want to feel that I took good care of my cats.

Thank you for reading to the end despite the sad content. I will return with a new video once I’ve recovered emotionally. I’m thinking of uploading a video where I’m gently petting Otorong’s head.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Hati has been safely discharged from the hospital and has been switched to medication at home. I sincerely thank you for praying for him to overcome all the difficulties. Although my channel is small, I have realized that there are many people who love my cats. As always, thank you so much for coming to see my cats. I will be back when Hati gets better. :)

Hati was hospitalized for a day yesterday and did not improve even if antibiotics and fluids were administered, so ultrasound was performed again, and intestinal obstruction was found through re-examination. I transferred him to a large hospital, and now he's undergoing surgery. However, due to the high liver level, there is a slim chance of waking up from anesthesia. In addition, the intestines are blocked and dehydrated for one day, and the electrolyte imbalance occurs, which is said to be dangerous. As a result, the phosphorus level has dropped and the liver is damaged, which is likely to cause bleeding during surgery. I'm praying at home waiting for the surgery to end safely.

Hati hasn't eaten since last night, so he had a comprehensive checkup at an animal hospital. And I found that his liver level (ALT) was over 1000. Hati is currently hospitalized. There will be no uploads for the time being until Hati is healthy. I pray that Hati gets better.

Hello subscribers.
Otorong recently coughed and was prescribed steroids by a vet.
Now her cough is better, but she has transient diabetes...
Since blood tests have not found any obvious cause of it,
judging from the situation, it's probably a side effect of steroids.
There will be no upload for the time being...
As always, thank you for coming to see my cats.
