WHAT WHITE MEMORIAL CONSERVATION CENTER DOES:
Along with environmental studies for school children and cutting edge research, the Center provides year-round public programs that include field trips, lectures by world renowned experts, live animal programs, poetry readings, concerts, themed dinner and movie gatherings -- all compelling one- of-a-kind events certain to deepen your relationship with Nature!
White Memorial Conservation Center is located in the heart of the 4,000 acre White Memorial Foundation property in the northwestern Connecticut foothills of the Berkshire Mountains.
In 1964, the Center was established in the former home of May White and her brother, Alain. Their vision of generosity led to the formation of the White Memorial Foundation in 1913. The Center was incorporated to add the goal of Education to the Conservation, Research, and Recreation purposes for which the Foundation was instituted.
