I've been in beauty for most of my life and considering that I am not a typical beauty, you would think that living in this "shallow" industry would have given me a complex. But that's not the case. For me, this isn't just makeup and skin care. Growing up as a Latina, you are taught that you go nowhere without looking your best. Beauty was ingrained in me, and not in a negative way that made me question my physical atttractiveness, quite the oppsite. My love of all things beauty helps me enhance those parts of me that I love. It has shown me how to be comfortable in my own skin because when I leave the house I truly feel like I'm putting my best foot forward. The beauty industry, and everything that butts up to it, has shaped me. It has taught me that I really am beautiful and I want to help others appreciate it -- and more importantly, themselves!
