I have been fishing for over 40yrs
I started off freshwater fishing then targeting carp in the mid 80s
I started boat and shore fishing around 1984
Being from the isle of wight fishing was and is outstanding
My main passion is sea fishing
I became a boatbuilder in 1990 starting an apprenticeship in a local boatyard
I'm a timed served traditional boatbuilder
I spent 14yrs building south catamarans at South boats in cowes
I built my own south 26 in 1997 having sold my MI 21 to fund the project the rest is history
My target was blonderays I broke the British record in March 2000 with a ray of 38lb 9oz
I wrote for boatfishing monthly in the late 90s
Throughout 80s and 90s and early 00s I broke countless of records of local and island records
If you put the hrs in you will achieve anything
I have over 4000hrs at sea
