My name is Liza. I’m a writer and a poet.
I recently founded Pens and Poison to promote literary education and foster appreciation for the written word, as well as to bring back the idea of literature as a work of art rather than a political vehicle. All across American college campuses, English literature students are being taught that literary study must necessarily rest on the far-left ideologies of Karl Marx, Michel Foucault, Judith Butler, and others. As a result, literary fields such as publishing, academia, and journalism are increasingly becoming dominated by ideological extremists who are bringing the focus away from literary study and towards their own political agendas.
Literature should NOT be politicized, nor should it be understood under these political lenses. Join me as I grow the Pens and Poison project to bring back the focus to authentic literary study and teach the importance of the humanistic tradition.
If any of that resonated with YOU, please consider supporting our project. All funds will be allocated to growing the Pens and Poison project, investing in better equipment, and hiring extra hands to make this venture a reality for the many literary lovers I reach on a daily basis. Thank you and keep on reading 💖
