in the future - u will be able to do some more stuff here,,,!! like pat catgirl- i mean um yeah... for now u can only see others's posts :c
Happy New Year, guys! I'm sad that tomorrow I'll be back at work, but I have the trailer for the first episode to bring me back energy!
trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JK8GE...
In pic 1-3 we can see the three protagonists we will start with - Cure Idol, Cure Wink, and Cure Kyun Kyun.
I am surprised our pink cure is another brunette considering normal hair colors in this franchise are rare. What's weirder are her RED eyes, which is a complete first for a leader (Ichika had pink). Too bad the adorable brown + red combo against all logic transforms into blonde + blue. (another first, but why right here...)
Cure Wink looks elegant and reserved like a typical blue cure.
Cure Kyun Kyun looks like a wild card if the name didn't give it away. Judging by her outfit, I imagine she will be the most social media-savvy out of the three.
And that's all from me, folks! Let's await Wonderful's finale and Kimi to idol's debut.
I am interested in seeing how this season will stand out compared to Suite, the music PreCure season.

Merry Christmas, guys! Hope your holidays are as jolly and cheery as a PreCure Christmas episode! (not the ones where the world is ending) And may next year's idol season be a solid PreCure season *whispers* with preferably some good shipping material.
NEW LEAKS: As soon as I initially posted this post, I saw the leaks. Gosh darn it. (pic 2) Before this, we knew we'd start again with a trio (my personal fave) but now it's confirmed.
Pic 3 was supposedly fanart but that's not the case anymore. So the image on the badge is as I first assumed - her civilian/regular idol uniform! ...Oh, the poor animators.
There may not be an AMV for Christmas as I wanted, but I will deliver for Valentine's day!

Hey ya, guys! Busy, tough life but I can't just not tune in for leaks about the upcoming season! It's finally idol-themed! I am not personally excited; in fact, there isn't a single IRL idol I care about, nor do I watch idol shows.
But as a magical girl connoisseur, it struck me as odd that we haven't had such a season until now. Many iconic examples from the genre are idol-centric. I recommend this article for details www.cbr.com/magical-girl-idols-long-history/
My personal fave is "Full Moon wo sagashite" (pic 2) - one of my top 10 anime in my first weeb years. It's by the creator of "Kamikaze kaitou Jeanne" which I also adore. Banger songs, delightful characters, and beautifully sad at many moments. Actually, I don't think any anime before this had made me cry so much.
It's such a low-hanging fruit for the same target demographic yet it took us 22 years to get here. Meanwhile, I think this industry in Japan is nowhere near as idealized as before, neither does it have the same global appeal. Oshi no ko (pic 3) was more of a deconstruction or discussion about the industry's sinister side. Sounds to me like it's mostly about K-pop groups now. So less money for merch and Toei is all about dem sales. 💲💲💲
We have seen idol characters before in PreCure (pic 4 and 5 are only 2 of those). It's a kids' show so I can't expect them to dive deep into the struggle of being an idol/wanting to be one in middle school. But I hope they do something new with the concept.
One thing is for sure - they can finally fully capitalize on the PreCure song albums.
That's all from me. If something else catches my interest and I have something to say, you'll see me back here. Until then, bye bye~

Happy Halloween, guys! Do check out my newest video for Halloween https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FeZ8-... Proud of this one
Sorry for being gone for so long, even without a post :( I have work, a course, and other things to do. And I wanted to write long reviews for Wonderful PreCure episodes 35, 36 and 37 - the Satoru x Iroha arc. You know me - me and my PreCure romance. 🤭 If somebody comments, I can still do one for the entire mini-arc. I absolutely want to do a video on those two this year or on Valentine's Day because they are adorable together, Satoru became one of my fave PreCure male characters and their scenes are CINEMATIC! Seriously, whoever decided to dedicate this much budget to the first two episodes, they have my gratitude.
Toodles and until my next post!

Hi ya, everyone! The end of the school year approaches and I have graded the final test. (tired yay)
If fate allows it, I'd work on a new AMV this summer.
The PreCure youtuber "YesSmileGoGo5" was kind enough to invite me to her Multiple Editors Project again, and I gladly accepted. The full MEP is uploaded for people to see in all its *glory* 😉
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2i4Qy...
Tomorrow I will upload to my channel my own part, the bit with Cure Flora. Quite proud of the timing, and the impact I expressed of each blow with shaking, blurring, lighting manipulation, etc. Been a while since I did a purely action video.

Hey ya, guys! Hisashiburi (been a while)! These past few months I have focused on work to improve my skills so YouTube sort of fell to the side. Good thing I made sure to leave a nice video before I disappeared. ^^
Most importantly, I want to thank those who watched my AMV, especially who liked and commented! 🩷 I for sure put a lot of passion into it. Ngl, I expected a few more views, because it was a topical project this time. A flaw of my channel is that I don't cover currently popular stuff. Oh, well, perhaps the algorithm will pick it up later.
I missed my chance to write review posts for the finale of "Hirogaru Sky Precure" and the crossover movie so I may as well do so now, but briefer.
(pic 2) "Dark Sky" was the type of concept I have longed for since watching Sailor Moon, and I still think it's a missed opportunity to not have the *main* magical girl turn temporarily evil, then be reminded of her ideals and come out stronger. If Winx Club can do it, why can't anime? Yet by the time that scene happened, Hirogaru had left me numb with the lowest expectations. The moment was done poorly, the twist was terrible, the parting scene was rendered cheap by the end, Elle didn't grow on me, and Captain Shalala remained underutilized. However, because of its strong first 20 or so episodes, I'd put it in my better half of the PreCure franchise. (comment if you want to see my list with a bit of commentary)
(pic 3) The crossover, on the other hand, was great. I would have liked a solo Hirogaru film but apparently, we only doing one movie per year now. My favorite part was every season showing a highlight scene from the original. I did not expect to get more NozoCoco moments in a *crossover*, dang! 2023 was the year for this ship.
The action was great, the concept was original for PreCure, we finally got some tension back into this franchise, and characterization for each cure was brief but effective with each one getting 2 traits focused on. I adored the team-ups because they all had a theme tying all members together!
As for "Wonderful PreCure", I haven't caught up completely but from what I have seen, it's okay. As a teacher, I appreciate getting something child-appropriate that teaches good morals and is harmless fun. I am not the target audience but little girls aren't idiots with no standards (cough, second half of Hirogaru, cough) I only wish for consistency.
Well, if something interesting comes up in the fandom for me to comment on or there are news from me, I shall be back with a post!
Arrivederci!

Hey ya, guys! Am I the only one who preferred how the team looked in the leaks? I swear their color scheme was more pastel and easy on the eyes compared to the final product (pic 2)
I didn't post anything for the logo leak, the silhouettes, the names, and the outfits because I honestly didn't know what interesting thing to say. The logo gave me vibes that this is gonna be aimed at babies while rumors state this will be the first season for girls aged 7-12 (perfect for 26-year-old me lol). It's animal-themed yet not only did Kira Kira already cover it (because DeliParty wasn't copying it enough) - these designs resemble animals even less. It's already been done but why couldn't the artists give Cure Wonderful and Cure Nyami (Jesus, the name!) tails? I love the concept of 2 duos - each being a pet and their owner. And it's... an idea to have the main cure be a dog. The writer in me, though, feels she will get the Ichika, Sora, etc. treatment and have the second lead act more like a protagonist.
The fanbase is already burnt out; for the most part, it agrees this sounds as exciting as boiled chicken. Especially when they saw the head writer of Yes5, GoGo, Happiness Charge, and the nearly finished Otona (that may explain the shit pacing and...everything) is going to be in charge of this. Get ready for the plot to go nowhere and have melodrama every 2 episodes. As a romantic AMVer, my only ray of hope is how this writer LOVES romantic subplots and we already have a male character prominent in the posters. (pic 3) Chances are, he and his rabbit will be the sixth ranger duo.
ALSO! I am grateful for all the likes on my last post - 95 which is insane compared to previous times! Best thing to happen to me related to Otona xD
Now I'll leave you guys be but await a surprise for Valentine's day ^_~

Hey ya, guys! Last night, I saw the ending of "Otona Precure: Kibou no Chikara", and I'm itching to talk about it! SPOILERS IN THE TEXT AND IMAGES, so watch the last episode before proceeding!
🖤 The less said about the plot the better, and that's widely agreed upon. To think people criticized "Earth Maiden Arjuna" for being mega preachy about environmentalism... Besides recycling no suggestions were offered yet I have seen tons of vids how that is utterly ineffective due to many factors. You could argue that the images of factory chimneys and pipes with dirt water eluded to big corporations also being at fault. And yea, especially GenZ is observed to be far too "I can't change anything so who cares" and "There's no ecofriendly consumption so I'll continue buying and throwing away everything" so the message of "You ARE responsible as an individual so don't solely blame others" is relevant. However, this topic is far too complicated for Toei of all companies to handle. While the "cliffhanger" at the end further sullied Bell and the story...
🤍 Now onto what was for me this episode's saving grace! The time flower could have been handled better - for sure - but I'll take it for the resolution we got of NozoCoco. I'd have preferred for the time frame of Nozomi being asleep to be longer to make the flower appear more powerful & up everybody's anguish. Still, the letters from her students touched my teacher's heart 💖 Plus, as I'll get to later, provided layers to the conclusion of these two's journeys.
🤍 While this dude made grave mistakes in this sequel, some of which will remain distasteful after the ending, he overall redeemed himself. Similar to Kanata crying during his apology to Haruka (Go!Princess), Coco showcased his regret and desperation, even surpassing Kanata by shedding tears twice and with more intensity (bless Coco's VA in this scene). He definitely needs work on his communication skills but he was confused and scared, and did it out of love for his woman and the heavy duty to his kingdom. Too bad like the original two seasons he requires life-and-death situations to snap out of it 😅
🤍 As peeved as I am that there was no kiss, it's on brand for Toei and the couple; remember how many almost-kisses they had (5, but 2 were in fantasies). The interruption made sense - her friends rushed when they heard she was alive, plus it was funny. MOST OF ALL, it is without a doubt a callback to the Yes!5GoGo movie which used "Sleeping Beauty" as a motif multiple times. Nozomi dreamed of being woken up like the princess (one of the daydream kisses) and at long last she got it (with more consent than the fairy tale)! In that movie she subverted expectations by being the "prince" who broke the spell with a kiss, therefore Coco (the actual prince) returned the favor this time around.
🤍 I couldn't torrent the episode quickly enough due to being stuck in traffic on my way to my hometown. One YouTuber spoiled the resolution for me in their thumbnail (3rd attached image)... so I knew the pairing would get married. The most underwhelming way to learn about the ending of something I waited for since 2008 🥲 He changed the thumbnail, was really nice about it, and is a wonderful person so it's all good. But my reactions were 10 times weaker than they should have been.
🤍 That wedding though! First off, Coco may have been in his kingdom but it's awkward how he remained in his squirrel form. Second, Nozomi's parents were addressed but did they ever learn about the PreCure business, that her husband isn't human and disappears from time to time to rule a NATION?! Thirdly, I would have liked to see a longer montage with different guests for such a huge occasion in this franchise but we gotta show the half-assed global warming solutions. I believe the couple had a 2nd wedding in the human world due to an official Toei picture released yesterday (4th image). THIS is what we wanted to see but no, you have to pay 3500 yen for the card. It's upscaled with AI so don't mind the body horror.
🤍 The 2nd gown is leagues better than the one in the episode which is a dang shame. Both pale in comparison to the design in the Kamikita twins' official PreCure manga (5th image). On the other hand, in the 1st season, Nozomi fantasized about marrying Coco in a fittingly for her age juvenile-designed yellow dress thus I am glad they didn't go with that. If YouTube allowed me more images I would have attached the manga page of ALL the Yes5 girls in wedding attire (including Komachi and Nuts...), Nagisa's dream wedding with Fujipi, Mana's possible future wedding, and Hana's white gown in George's illusion to compare. As it is, I am glad my two favorite teachers are the 1st in PreCure to onscreen marry each other!
What a wild ride "Otona PreCure" has been, *too* wild! If the "Splash Star" and "Max Heart" girls didn't appear, there was no environmental plot and instead focused on the other side of the original's theme - not all dreams come true, not all effort is rewarded, things aren't as simple as we expected as kids - this could have been great. May we pray the next Otona season learns from this.

Hey ya, guys! Episode 7 of Otona PreCure has become my favorite so far (though episode 4 remains the best-written and executed).
🍋Urara more than made up for her low spotlight time and weak presence. Now it makes sense why she acted like that. Her struggles differed from the rest but still tied with the theme of "Am I a proper adult? Am I doing enough?" I also get caught up in that and forget to have fun which in turn worsens the quality of my lessons.
There was also a decent portrayal of online haters and caring too much about people's opinions. For me, that either should have been the main message or tie it better into the other.
🍋Syrup/Shiro was a hoot! Spongebob Squarepants design aside, in this anime he is the most refreshing, upbeat, responsible, and down-to-earth person who actually has control over his life, hilarious :D He stayed true to his character, retained the lessons from Yes!5 GoGo while evolving further.
🍋 There was enough material in this episode alone to make a romantic AMV, daaaaaamn ✨This is what we want - a strong person with their own ambitions helping out another strong person with their ambitions and creating something beautiful. Syrup may not get together with Urara but their interactions in the original and here are so sweet and healthy, I don't mind.
Speaking of sweet and healthy, let's talk about the opposite of that.
🐿️ Coco, that damn squirrel! I didn't think the writers had the guts to punch him, but am I glad Nuts did! When he, the dude whose arc revolved around opening up to others and learning to communicate, calls you out, you suck for sure. Though the Komachi x Nuts ship worries me with how NON-EXISTENT IT IS, he understandably had to go back. At this point just assign him as the sole king and order Coco to continue as a teacher on Earth, idk. This subplot grew so messy, that there's no perfect solution.
🐿️ Kurumi/Milk is an even better wingman and in my eyes, she has been redeemed completely. Now I may peacefully rewatch the first series without skipping all scenes with Milk. Although...it's sad we need this much pushing to get two people to work out.
🐿️ Coco might be growing some nuts and getting closer to talking with Nozomi. Howbeit, I am not holding out hope he'll do it respectfully, sincerely, and worthy of their romance in the past.
🐿️ Besides (2nd image) him looking fondly at her ONCE this season, there's no indication he misses her. Meanwhile, she cleaned his windows, shopped for him, and probably did a lot more in that time frame (Urara and Syrup had a whole montage) with a smile on her face. GIRL, PLEASE, DON'T! Jesus, imagine if Coco is already engaged to that princess from Yes!5 Gogo who proposed to him once...
In conclusion, a somewhat tightly written episode that continued the show's themes, used the villains well for once, developed characters and a relationship... but highlighted some problems. If this was the entirety of Otona (minus the Nozomi and Coco melodrama), 2008 me would have been over the moon.

Hey ya, guys! WHO THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA?!
I watched episode 6 of Otona PreCure and there were many things to love like Rin's realistic struggles with dreams vs practical skills, inability to do everything even though you used to be able to, and a reminder that being an adult doesn't mean being completely independent... The fight scene though was arguably the worst so far.
No, what I really have a problem with is how this anime has handled romance, specifically the *most popular PreCure couple to exist* - these two. I have a suspicion that the next episode would actually honor Urara x Syrup. They are also wonderful but you can't just treat the other pairings like dirt. What even are Komachi and Nuts?!
Let's analyze this situation in two ways - what is being said and what is being shown.
What Coco has read off a script - he still cares about Nozomi, thinks about her every day, and has occasionally visited her WITHOUT HER KNOWLEDGE to watch over her dream. (1st off, that detail isn't as charming as the writers think it is) However, they cannot be together because their dreams supposedly cannot co-exist. His solution wasn't to explain it all so she could move on but AVOID HER and sometimes send letters thus never leaving her mind really. Yeah, he cannot be king on Earth but did he think of the possibility she could simply teach in Palmier kingdom? What is with these two and Nozomi always wanting direct answers yet is being denied unless they're about to die...
What is shown to the audience - in picture 2 which I have attached we see him looking genuinely confused by her missing him. If he cared as much as he claimed, he'd subconsciously allow himself to also be vulnerable and perhaps hug her for a minute, or at least show FUCKING PAIN over your dilemma! The next episode shockingly cut to them drinking carefree in that bar (sitting on opposite sides of the room might I add). You can't *tell* me you're still in love while doing everything except expressing it. I assumed it was incompetent writing not the prologue of a nasty conclusion to their stories but nope - IT'S BOTH!
And it magically got worse. I used to hate Kurumi as a preteen due to her bullying of Nozomi, pointless pining over Coco *and* Nuts without seriously attempting anything plus her arrogance, selfishness, etc. Oooh, it's bad when she of all people called out Coco on his negligence and told him to comfort Nozomi. You know, as drunk Komachi said "his soulmate". He turned that shit down as if Kurumi invited him on a date.
Again, pay attention to the body language - his face. Picture 3 - he was surprised Kurumi suggested taking any time to visit Nozomi, as if saying "How is this relevant?". Picture 4 - he gasped when reminded that Nozomi cried, like "Oh, yea!". Picture 5 - Coco is outright angry about this being brought up, dare I say - annoyed? I'm sorry, is your beloved an inconvenience in your life?
The only thing I can do is pretend this sequel never happened but I am sure this would result in no new fanart and AMVs being produced by others. Can you blame fans for that? This garbage is pretty much irredeemable and an insult to the original.

Hi ya! My name's Sofia, but you can call me Sofi
。✪ω✪。 I upload mostly AMVs once in a while
Checking them out is heavily appreciated!
