I am a luthier of classical guitars in Ukraine. Right at the beginning of the year 2000, I began my guitar-making education under the guidance of the luthier Vladimir Oleynichenko in Kharkiv. After several successful years of training, I opened my own guitar workshop. Primarily, I use various types of rosewood for the guitar body and spruce or red cedar for the soundboard. My guitars can be seen on my website roodenko.com/my-guitar.
I'd like to highlight two interesting projects on my channel, where I diverted from my routine of using rosewood and created an unusual guitar almost entirely from pine sourced from an old door frame. (with English subtitles)
The second project serves as a tribute to the time I spent learning guitar craftsmanship from Vladimir Oleynichenko. I crafted guitars playable from chronically defective junk produced by Soviet factories. It's a hymn to irrationality, but I thoroughly enjoyed the project, both the process and the resulting instruments.
