Welcome to my channel! I'm Seren, a Welsh and Irish hedgewitch, herbalist, folklore and ancient traditions enthusiast from North Wales, UK.
My interest in these topics came from my childhood. I was raised amongst the new age travellers and environmental roads protestors of 90's Britain. My mum was a hedgewitch, herbalist and environmental activist and my dad was a Welsh historian and folklore enthusiast. Together, they gave me a great base of knowledge to build from as I grew up.
By the age of 2 I could identify between 5 different kinds of red berries, I was taken to solstice gatherings and festivals and was generally raised very close to nature. In fact we lived outdoors when I was born, and cooked on the outside fire. We had no electricity nor running water, and found water from an ancient well in a nearby marsh.
As I grew up I added to my knowledge through various books, articles and general research.
