Did you know I have 1 original song in Japanese too???
Last year, in order to really find my style, I composed a song a month. I tried to branch out but in the end I just gravitate towards this type of sound. Upbeat and energetic instrumentals, but topped off with somewhat pessimistic lyrics. I like to call it "hopefully pessimism"...
Anyway, one of those tracks was "For The Love Of Tax", which is about being a rebel at heart, but also wanting to have the comfort of being able to afford silly stuff like rent. Telling yourself "I am punk!!! But not right now, I've got to do my 9-to-5 first..."
Japanese chiptune artist @to6okegao translated and covered the English version of that track (check it out on his channel!!!) which I then re-covered using Miku! The Japanese voice banks have so much more options and flexibility 🥹 but that means you have to work harder to get the English banks to sound good, which is fun too of course!!
Give it a listen if you haven't!!! Its probably my favourite track from last year!!!

Was hype when I saw the video had 500 plays and I got 20 new subs from it the first day... its at 35k+ plays and 1000+ new subs like wtf is going on???!!!! 😭

Video Store is the title track for the album that collects all the songs I made in 2023. At the start of last year, I set the goal for myself to release 1 song each month, and despite missing that goal by 2, I'm still glad I got a whole album's worth of music out of it!
What's next? I'll take things a bit slower in terms of releasing music. Doing a song each month is great for figuring things out, learning how to use Vocaloid better, get better at mixing and just speeding up song creation, but listening back to some songs... things could have been way better if I just gave it another week or 2 :') So that's what I'm gonna do now: spend a bit longer on each song and release it when its DONE instead of when my self-imposed deadline is up.
I've already got ideas for future songs, so I hope you'll stay tuned for that.

Happy 2024!!!
2023 was a great year! I got back into making music more regularly and as a result of that I will be releasing a full album's worth of music in the first half of 2024! It will feature all the music I made in 2023 and a couple of extra tracks!
I have also commissioned this bangin 3xBlast Miku design from @DegoDraws! Really happy to have such a cool character design as a mascot of the channel and my music, so look forward to seeing her in future uploads and music!

FINAL TRACK OF THE YEAR!!!
For my final track of the year, I did a Japanese version of an earlier track "For The Love Of Tax", which has kinda become a favorite track of mine... Part of my goal this year was to finally figure out what my sound is REALLY, and I think I've found it in this track.
I still like to try out new sounds and vibes of course! But expect more of this!
Plans for next year: finish 2 more tracks, and release all singles together as an album! After that, I'll likely slow down a bit with releases, maybe to 1 every 2 months? One track a month is doable of course, but it leaves little room for other projects (or revisiting a track before releasing...)
Hope to release some other cool things before the album drops early next year!

I've released a new song "Postgame"! It's a vocaloid track inspired by the game "Nier: Automata"! Writing lyrics that references something else was both easy and hard at the same time :') there was a lot of material to choose from already, but it also was a bit of a puzzle to make sure it both flowed well and made sense lore-wise...

There has been an official Hatsune Miku x Pokemon collab going on for a couple of weeks, where artists draw Miku as different type Pokemon trainers. I've really been enjoying seeing the different styles, and today's post was even cooler because it's Miku as a ghost type trainer!!!
It kinda feels like a cool coincidence, given that my first track this year was about a digital ghost Miku!!!

3xBlast combines chiptune, pop-punk and vocaloid to create music that will make you go "hehe". Starting with the instrumental ep "After School" in 2019, 3xBlast slowly shifted towards vocaloid with the 2021 album "Babe, You Look Poggers Tonight!" containing the first 2 songs to feature lyrics. Starting with 2022, nearly all songs going forward have featured vocaloid, with a focus on Hatsune Miku, with the occasional feature from other vocaloid.
