Arsalan Kamkar was born December 23, 1960 in Sanandaj. He learned the basics of music from his father, Maestro Hassan Kamkar and - in very young ages - participated in various concerts with different orchestras conducted by his father in Sanandaj. Later, he moved to Tehran to join Kamkars Group as a composer, arranger, and oud player and started working at Tehran Symphony Orchestra as a violin player. Arsalan Kamkar was the Mister of Tehran Symphony for 30 years.
