Rare is the guitarist with the ability to carve out a niche for himself in contemporary gospel music. Darryl Dixon has not only created such a niche, but his extraordinary ear for adding just the right lick to a song has made him an essential part of any production on which he serves. While in high school, Dixon quickly developed a reputation for rarely being seen without his instrument. That passion for playing has earned him an impressive list of experiences as a studio musician and live performer. Since 1992, Dixon has performed on several major releases, including productions by Fred Hammond, Commissioned, Yolanda Adams, Martha Minuzzi, William Murphy, Lexi, Randy Scott, Dawkins and Dawkins, and many other jazz and gospel artists. Over the past years, Dixon has toured throughout the world with Commissioned, Fred Hammond & Radical for Christ, Kirk Franklin, Martha Munizzi, William Murphy, Donnie McClurkin, Kurt Carr, Deitrick Haddon and more.
