As you may or may not know, I am currently overseas with family and will continue to be until august. I overestimated my ability to create videos while I was here, so I can’t say I can upload a sequel to dokis go camping until I’m back in America. I deeply apologize in advance.

Hey all,
This is AlpineVortex, the guy that made DDLC youtube videos and disappeared for almost 3 years. Below is an explanation for why I was gone for so long since I owe you all an explanation. WARNING: it’s long but I’ll leave a TLDR, as well as an update on the dokis go camping mod at the end.
I would like to tell you all that I’m completely alright as of now, but for a while since I created this channel, I was suffering from mild depression and severe anxiety problems. I decided to quit YouTube for a while because having a community online stressed me out a lot since I felt insecure about my modding abilities and sharing it with so many. I decided to cope with that stress through escapism. If I’m gonna be honest, I was terrified of returning because I’d be afraid so many would be mad at me for leaving. however, I must apologize since I made promises that I failed to keep and for not warning you guys about my prolonged absence. I’m deeply sorry for disappearing without telling you guys and making a lot of you worried, and that I disappointed many of you by not following my promises with uploading.
However, I want to acknowledge that you guys are absolutely amazing because each and every one of you have supported my channel just by looking at it, liking it, commenting on it, showing your love and care, and being patient. Even though I’ve been gone for so long, just understand that I really do love your support. Even though I feel scared about all the people, I will admit a part of it makes me feel special, and now I want to give you all something special too, I really do.
Now you may be wondering, why did I decide to come back now after almost 3 years of silence? For the last several months, my mental health has improved enough where I started to make effort to try to get my ddlc modding passion back on and alive. I’ve finished a couple mods that I can upload on this channel. One of them is saved on my computer back in America, so I won’t be able to get it posted until I’m back there in a couple months. For the other one, I’ll release it as a soon as I’m out of quarantine and have fast wifi again.
Now, I want to tell you all about the future of this channel. As many of you may know, I’m not good with keeping consistent uploads. And since I don’t want to give you all false hope as I’ve done in the past, I can’t guarantee I’ll post consistently. But when I do, just know that it’ll be with all my effort put into it. I sincerely apologize in advance. However, I won’t disappear without warning or make false promises anymore. When I go a long time without uploads, I’ll notify you guys here. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

Left YouTube because I had anxiety issues, but I’m back now since im more confident and will begin uploading again, but can’t guarantee I’ll be consistent onward. But, I won’t make anymore false promises, and I will notify you here if I need to take a hiatus. I sincerely apologize for the sudden 3 year disappearance and not keeping promises.

Since a lot of you were looking forward to the sequel of my last video posted a while ago about the dokis going camping, I am currently on the development of that sequel. It will be released within the upcoming month of June. I’m so sorry it took 3 years for me to tell you this.
