Set a new time to beat on the new layout…6.445 seconds.
The previous layout’s fastest time was 6.351 seconds but this new layout flows much better so I suspect much faster times with practice and patience.
These #carrerago #formula1 #slotcars move very fast so reaction time has to be precise. With no brake control the cars tend to roll when letting off the throttle; just one more thing to think about each lap. The turbo button has to be used very strategically as well to obtain fast lap times.
The goal is to break 6 seconds!

Creating better flow!
If you caught our live #carrerago unboxing the other day then you’ll know we purchased some new radius turns for the #slotcartrack.
Here is a look at the updated layout. Extend the elevation with a nice straight into a tricky hairpin crossover (might change) and then created a large flowing corner with 2/45 & 3/45 radius corners into the back straight.
The center of the track was a huge improvement! We replaced the two 90 degree corners with a two 3/45 radius corners allowing a much faster transition between the two high bank corners.

Ran some laps around the #SlotCarTrack with our new to us #Ferreri458 #CarreraGo #SlotCar.
I managed a 6.888 seconds but had some technical issues with the track.

🏎️💨🏁 New Fastest Lap - 6.351
I found a great deal on Facebook marketplace for some #143scale #CarreraGo #SlotCars. Be sure to check out the unboxing video I did with my daughter to see the great haul we received.
Now my initial thought on these older #Formula1 cars was they would be worn out and slow. After our Live video I gave this Kimi Räikkönen Mercedes McLaren a good run around the #slotcartrack. To my surprise I clocked the fastest lap and was super impressed how well the car handled.
