Eskimo Disco were on a roll, having inked a lucrative recording and publishing deal, and releasing a hit single that was not only a contender for the Christmas number one spot, but which landed impressively at number 15 with only an indie release. The track's companion video, "7-11," has amassed a staggering 9.4 million views on YouTube. Their debut album, "Robots and Laptop Dancers Make Good Friends," received rave reviews, with tracks syncing in TV ads and film soundtracks, and even clinching the number one spot in Japan.
Eskimo Disco shared stages with bands such as the Arctic Monkeys, Hot Chip, Metronomy and Chromeo, and graced the hallowed fields of Glastonbury. Then, as quickly as they had exploded onto the scene, they vanished.
Fast forward to 2023, the band drops reimagined versions of ‘7-11’ and ‘Let The Music’, then in 2024 they "reactivate", playing summer festivals and a London Christmas show supporting MY LIFE STORY on 13th December 2024. Tickets: dingwalls.com
