*Sweet childhood*
Gone the sweet days of childhood,
When love prospered everywhere,
Every soul was aware of the neighborhood,
Where there was no space for despair.
Parenthood was found in every elder,
No notion of debauchery was even there,
We valued the company of affectionate shelter,
Where every kid had a gentle demeanor.
Every house was a school-like place,
Where children let etiquette pervade,
Which only made them a specimen in any case,
It was bliss to face.
No gadgets no social media with such thrust
Found there to detract the future,
No parents no guardians unaware of the truth
Hastened to blame the teachers.
Heart wails to behold the present lot,
Engross in useless chores,
Nothing to learn no winning part,
Running blindly on endless shores.
First ever poem written keeping in mind the current situation of today's kids.
