Diaries of a mystical reader and all the sweet serenity of books! Hi and welcome to Mina's Bookshelf "mystical den". As a book reviewer, I paired novels with wines and desserts throughout the years. Now that I have re-discovered my passion for the metaphysical, I have started matching my favorite readings with mystical tools, such as tarot and oracle cards. It feels like a natural progression to me, and one I utterly enjoy for meditation and personal self-discovery purposes--after all, what is a well written fictional story if not the archetypal Fool's journey in the Raider-Waite-Smith tarot system? The main character, the hero of a story, metaphorically travels from his Fool stage to the final accomplishment of his journey in the World card, tracing a narrative arc that will see our character develop through twenty-two archetypal stages (the major arcana}, and grow in his wisdom and knowledge of the Universe.
