When it came to doing this music shit I always felt like It would take a certain amount of resources to be “successful” at what I feel I was born to do. I developed a mindset that having certain key elements and resources at hand when needed will ultimately propel me to where I needed to be. What I later realized was that exact mindset was the very thing that was crippling me over the years. It over time forced me into a space of comfortability of not doing what I needed to do out of belief that I didn’t have enough resources to do so. I had to shift out of framing things around “not enough” There’s never enough time, money, confidence, or what is needed to see success as an artist. This shit was really just fear of failing high key. I’m only speaking of this personal experience because you may be going through it and if you are I’m here to say don’t let your fear of not having enough hinder you from being great. The level of creativity that came once I focused on working with what I have instead of what I didn’t was endless and still is. So take what you got and make that shit work. Ain’t no rules yo. Start today, stop never 💙
