Model Trains. Is there anything better than them? I've been a lifelong enthusiast of nearly all things trains and it was only natural that when I moved out and began working on the real railroad that I continue furthering passion for the hobby. 8 fun years on the rails both big and small have produced many unique layouts that need to be shared with the world.

As suggested by the channel name, trains are in the basement. But we will start off slow, with a look back at early layouts in earlier houses during my bachelor days, and even a few glimpses at the family layout in Virginia. If there is a place without trains in it, we will build a layout in it!
