Pakistan’s IT service exports reached $1.864 billion in the first half of the 2024-25 fiscal year, marking a 28.04% increase from $1.455 billion in the same period last year. This growth reflects the expanding influence of Pakistan’s IT sector in global markets.
Computer services saw a 34.54% rise, totaling $1.581 billion, with software consultancy exports climbing 35.73% to $549.9 million. While hardware consultancy and computer software exports experienced slight declines, other computer services surged by 61.04%.
Information service exports witnessed an extraordinary 746.93% increase, reaching $14.87 million. News agency services led this surge with a staggering 1240.84% rise, highlighting Pakistan’s growing digital and media presence worldwide.

These rest stops will offer much-needed relief, featuring snack dispensers, water coolers, mobile charging stations, and dedicated parking spaces for motorcycles. Designed with proper insulation to reduce sunlight exposure, these facilities aim to provide comfort while ensuring visibility. The selection of locations, including Business Bay, Al Karama, Al Satwa, Mirdif, and more, is based on operational data and demand analysis, ensuring accessibility where it’s needed most. With two rest areas already completed in Al Barsha, the remaining ones will be developed in phases, with all expected to be fully operational by July 2024. This initiative not only fosters a safer working environment but also supports the rapid growth of the delivery sector, promoting compliance with traffic laws and enhancing service quality.
