I had the great fortune to experience the techno scene (almost) from the beginning. 91 the first time at OMEN in Frankfurt. From then on everything was different.
From the middle of the 90s I had my own video camera and it was then often with me at parties (from the time before there's unfortunately nothing ... howl!).
The camera didn't have much fun (I did). Lens fogged up, microphone mostly overstrained and the alien at the record button more busy with partying than with proper recording. But I never intended to shoot Oscar-worthy masterpieces, I just wanted to capture what was going on. So while dancing and partying I let the camera run (quite impractical when partying). Somehow it worked. Sometimes. That's why many shots are very amateurish and blurred, but "authentic" (that's how I say it to myself).
Due to lack of time I also don't upload things often. I always check whether it is justifiable (takes a lot of time).
Have fun!
