Hi all,

Welcome to February. I hope your year is off to an amazing start so far! January was full of nice surprises such as the official reveal of the Switch 2. I still plan to make my return sometime in April, but recent changes in my personal will force things to be on the quiet side least until the end of the summer. But I hope to be back in April for streaming again with occasional playthroughs. I have four games I plan to play through over 2025 (least start them), the first of these games is the upcoming Croc remaster. and I plan to keep the spring and summer for the shorter games due to upcoming changes in my personal life which may have me return to college for a little bit of time.

Look forward to my return in April and see you all somewhere!

I recently played through Ori and the Blind Forest, and this was a game I was not prepared for. One of my favorite Indies to date. Link to thread with my review.

I have finished my first Game of the Year, and it also flushes Persona 3 Reload as my Game of the Year to 2024! Full review to Metaphor Refantazio in this thread.

Happy New Year! It's a new year, and a new beginning in 2025!
I got some things I would like to share as we begin a new chapter in our lives.

Surprise! I'll be soon coming out of retirement! But the way I do things on here will be different compared to how they have been leading up to my retirement. Up till now, I've done alot of multiplayer content with tiny sprinkles of single player content.

Going forward, my content will be the inverse, mostly single player content. With tiny pieces of multiplayer stuff, this will be saved for special events and collabs such as upcoming Splatfest and Big Run repeats. I will primarily be focusing on Single Player content going forward. My biggest reason for this change is that following the Grand Festivals' conclusion, I have come to realize that my time in Splatoon has run out. I barely play the game anymore and save multiplayer events for when I'm with my friends over randoms.
My first planned game to come back to is the upcoming remaster to Croc Legend of the Gobbos, currently slated for Quarter 1 2025, by the end of March. So the plan for my upcoming return is slated for April. This is because I have to adapt to my new work schedule, whatever that may be.
My reason for choosing Croc in particular is because Croc was the first videogame experience I ever had on a console, first gaming experience in general was on a Pac-man arcade machine. And what a better return than to begin with how my journey started.

The plan is for once or twice a week (some weeks won't have anything at all) for a stream. I will keep to one series at a time, and continue the VC Shenanigans with friends as I have been to keep conversations going over me just talking to myself. For future series, I might run a poll in the community tab to help me decide what happens, this plan isn't set in yet, I will figure things out by April.

Me taking the last few months off of streaming, has helped me decide on this plan and I know this was not easy to make. So my retirement is still in play for the most part. My life has undergone a massive shift since mid-August of last year, and I need to focus more on my personal life and my closest friends, nothing lasts forever and you never truly realize what you have until it is gone. I hope everyone understands this decision I made and will continue to support me. I just want to branch out of Splatoon stuff after seeing fatigue on the game over the course of the games' update cycle.

After seeing the reception I got for my Game of the Year post the other day, I will continue to do those and share the two lists of games I first played that year and new releases that year.
Videos may be a once a year thing if I decide to do a "Best of 20xx" reel, but I will need some help with gathering clips. I have not done one since 2021, this is because I was not getting much help in getting clips and it was exhausting making them when they ended up being at least 3 hours long. I am going forward going to ensure they stay up to 60 to 90 minutes at most. I have a chat in my public Discord server for sharing clips to make this process easier for me. I also have had massive life shifts over the last 3 years keeping me from working on these things, I hope to make 2025 a year of new beginnings despite the last few years being very rough.

Recap on this post:
- I'll be coming out of retirement, but content will change
- Focus will be single player continue with sprinkles of multiplayer, being saved for collabs and events
- Game of the year posts will be once a year like the previous community post
- I will need help in collecting clips for the Highlights reel for each year.

Have a great day and Happy 2025 everybody! I hope to see you all for my return in April!
I don't expect this return to be for long term either. So let's enjoy what little time we do get.

2025 is a couple days away, before we ring into the New Year, let's take a quick trip back down memory lane and share my gaming experiences over the year. I will provide two lists for this post. One for my favorite Games released in 2024, and another for a list of games I played for the first time in 2024 that have released in a previous year. Without further adieu, let's get started.

Favorite Games first played in 2024 (released from a past year):

5. Super Mario bros. Wonder: I streamed this in January and February this year alongside my friends of the Cephalocrew. One of the best 2D Mario games to date, the wonder gimmicks are a joy to experience and the final levels sure gave me the challenge.
4. Bayonetta: This game sure was something, the combat was a very fun thrill and the action holds up. This game can get very difficult at times. Almost every level holds a fun boss fight and that got me mashing buttons and pulling combos. The final boss sure felt like a trip.
3. It Takes Two: It literally takes two to play a game such as this. Me and my best friend played this amazing game and I for sure recommend you play this game with somebody special to you, weather it be a close friend, your significant other, or even a sibling. Every level has a unique gimmick and both of you need to work together to solve puzzles and repair a broken relationship. I was felt with numerous different emotions over the coruse of this adventure.
2. Metroid Prime Remastered: How did I go 20 years without playing this game? Metroid Prime Remastered is a great experience and it is a must play for any action fan. Despite being in first person as Samus, it adds to the experience, this game is also home to one of the best boss fights I EVER experienced, Meta Ridley! This has me all the more excited to play Metroid Prime 4 next year!
1. Nier Automata: Another game from 2017 manages to sneak its' way into my favorite games of all time list. I can't get into much without discussing spoilers, but trust me, this is a game you NEED to play for yourself to get the full experience. This game kept me on my seat from start to finish, and trust me, you'll want to keep going even after the credits roll.

Favorite New Games of 2024:

5. Shadow Generations: To celebrate the Year of Shadow, this Black Hedgehog got a side campaign alongside the remake to Sonic Generations. This story focuses on Shadows' dark past, and felt like a step up from what Sonic Frontiers was able to pull off. The Doom abilities took me a bit to get used to, and there were longer levels in this compared to Frontiers, and the bosses were a blast, especially the final boss.
4. Unicorn Overlord: This is a game I never even heard of until mere days before release, and this strategy game gave me a really fun time. Forging an army with many characters and developing strategies with 5-man units gave me a great time, having very long levels kept me thinking. Literally the final level of the game took me 6 HOURS to finish.
3. Super Mario Party Jamboree: Didn't expect a party game to make this list huh? After falling off of Supertsars rather fast, this game truly delivered on a Mario Party experience, and the online is actually really good. While some elements of the game are broken (I'm looking at you Peach), this game is a very fun time, especially with others over an AI.
2. Mario & Luigi Brothership: After a near decade absence, Mario & Luigi are back in their traditional RPG format. This game touched on themes that hit me at home, and the combat was very enjoyable. Once you get past the super slow start, this game picks up and it gets really good. With a couple slow moments here and there, I overall really liked my time with this game and it's bound to be a great time.
1. Persona 3 Reload: Everyone who knows me should've seen this coming. It's Persona for goodness sake! Persona 3 reload was my first new release of this year, and it made quite the impact. This game was a very fun experience; the floors of Tartarus felt much shorter comapred to the Dungeons of Persona 4 and the Palaces of Persona 5, and the combat still delivers very strong. But you're climbing over 200 floors to this skyscrapper, and the story gets very deep and dark. The Answer DLC also cemented this as my game of the year adding to beyond the ending. If you like the combat like I did, it made this DLC worth the expansion and the extra 50 hours I put onto the game.

Honorable Mentions:
Paper Mario TTYD HD: a really fun remake that gives people a much eaiser way to access this masterpiece. I do like there is a badge to allow you to listen to the Gamecube versions' OST over the remaster. But not many changes from the original to warrant a spot among the best of the best for the year.

Side Order: Nintendo's first proper attempt at a rougelike, and I gotta say, this DLC campaign was very fun (You hear that Geoff? There are MULTIPLE DLCs that can be nominated for Awards instead of just Elden Ring!), while short, the DLC does hold up as a fun time with a very satisfying reward for Splatoon fans.

Stellar Blade: This game was a really nice experience, and was what opened the door to me trying Nier Automata, and got me into the hack and slash genre. While it did a great job, I just liked the other games in my list more.

Sonic Frontiers: My introducion to modern Sonic, and this was a fun experience for what I experienced so far. I as of the end to 2024 have yet to play the Final Horizon DLC, and I believe that to be where my issues with the game would be fixed such as the story feeling lackluster upon the conclusion of the base game. This game would've made my list if I had the time to play through the DLC campaign as well, but as I got this game with 1 week left of the year, it was not enough time for 2 campaigns.

13 Sentinels Aigis Rim: This game was quite the talk when it first came out, and I gotta say, I enjoyed my experience. What holds this back from the list is that it takes way too long for the story to start getting good, and jumping between 13 different characters can make it very easy to lose track of what's going on. The strategic battles do make this a fun experience in the back half of the game.

Hi all,

I hope everyone has been doing well. The end of the year is fast upon us, and so is the start to 2025! This past year in particular was one emotional roller coaster, between my retirement, the end of Splatoon 3's update cycle, and many life changing events I carried from the end of 2023 and endured over this past year. But I'm not here to discuss what 2024 was (End of the Year post is saved for December 31st), I'm here to tell you all about what is to come in 2025.

First off, I will continue to be in retirement from regular content, but I will be planning some irregular streams and primarily focus on single player content from those. The current plan for this to begin is in Q2 (April to June) of 2025, and the game I plan to do for this is the remaster of a childhood classic that introduced me into Gaming. He's green, he's ready to "ker-splat", and he's here to make his name a legend. Those of you that know, you know what I'll do for my return in 2025. For those of you that don't, well... I hope to introduce you all to where my journey started.

I will still continue to be present in collabs and livestreams of others, so be sure to check me out in places such as my fellow Cephalocrew mates and other streamers I've been in collabs with in the past. Expect me to be in streams such as the upcoming Frostyfest rematch in January (hopefully) and all future Splatfest reruns.

I hope everybody has a happy and safe holiday season. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! And I hope to see you all on the 31st for my Year in Review post, and my first stream back sometime in 2025.

Hi all,

I wanted to give you all a quick update on my socials. Twitter has taken some... rather interesting turns, to say the least. So I have locked my account, and joined BlueSky (linked below and in the links tab), so you can find me there, I'll typically post Switch clips on there. I have no current plans to return to streaming anytime soon, I got plenty of things to work on, I might do a sporadic thing sometime in 2025, but nothing is set in place yet. Hope you all have a great holiday season and see you all somewhere.

Hello Everyone,

I had my Final Livestream the other day, and it was one of the best experiences I could ever ask for. It was an epic way to conclude this chapter of my life, and I couldn't ask for any better! I know there were several of you who couldn't make it to this event, and feel bad about it. The VOD always exists for you to watch at anytime, and you were still with us in spirit during the event. I will now give a brief rundown of what my goodbye speech was:

Doing Youtube was one of the best things I ever got to be part of, what originally started off as me uploading my Smash Wii U replays and make Let's Plays that are God knows how many episodes long to becoming a streamer and sharing my love for gaming. I never would've expected to embark on the journey that I was part of. I couldn't ever anticipate to make over 3,000 Subscribers in my 8 1/2 years doing this gig and knowing I put a smile on at least 1 face every day gave me a reason to keep on going for as long as I did. I made some lifelong friends over this adventure and I could never ask for anything better. People do come and go in life, but the memories and experiences will forever be ingrained into us. I got to meet so many people, not just the close friends I have today, but even fellow Splatubers, artists, my wonderful mods, and even the common viewer. We all got this community to where it is, and I could never ask for a better group of people to have than you all. The most important part of everything is you, for coming to this channel, tuning into the streams, lurking, leaving comments, whatever the case may be; you to have contributed to this epic saga. If there's one thing I hope you all can take from me as a life lesson, it would be these things: "Never, ever give up. Always have faith and confidence in your actions, do not be afraid of the unexpected. And stay positive and trust your gut, help those in need and keep your loved ones close."

It was not easy coming to the decision to retire, my life has been getting to a point it needs my focus and attention. My irl life has alot to take care of, beyond what I can publicly disclose, but those of you that know, you know what I'm going through. I'm not going to be young forever and I need to start living my life to the fullest, as well as overcoming any mental struggles I am going through in my life; because believe me, my life is only just getting started. These are personal battles of mine that will take me a very long time to overcome. I would've been in a much different place than I am now if not for the amazing people I have in my life, you all know who you are.

Will I be gone? No. I'll still be around in other streamers and communities, my time doing content has just come to a close. You can still catch me in the games and in other places, like in my new Discord server. I MAY do the irregular or sporadic stream come 2025, just don't count on those too often.

Thank you all so much for the wonderful memories over the last 8 1/2 years, from my Smash Wii U Replay of the Day series to the Grand Festival and even this Finale stream we just had! You all deserve the love and support, I wish nothing but the best for everyone and their futures. May we meet again in another time and place?

Best Wishes,

- Subspace King!

Hi All,

This Saturday, October 19th, will be my FINAL Livetstream (for now), and I will be celebrating in a huge way with you all! We will begin live at 2pm EDT, and begin with 2 hours of Splatoon 3 Private Battles, I will do a mix of what I like and random weapons to give the matches a fun challenge. After that, we will switch to Jackbox and do a series of three different games:

Trivia Murder Party 2, Drawful 2, and Quiplash 3. The latter two will be using custom prompts as well reflecting on the 8 1/2 years of the channel. It wouldn't be a perfect sendoff without looking back on everything we've done together!

After the three hours of games end, we will return to Splatoon 3 for one last group photo in recon to say goodbye once and for all.

I will then return to the Grand Festival Venue (via amiibo) where I will be delivering a goodbye speech that you WILL NOT want to miss. This is going to be a momentous occasion and a end to a arc.

I hope you all can join me on this final sendoff before I go on a long hiatus from content. I won't return until sometime in 2025 after I get my life back in order, and even then, streams will be sporadic and irregular.

See you then and remember to "Stay awesome"!

Hey all, Happy Spooky month!

I want to give you guys a quick update on the upcoming finale stream planned for next week. I have to reschedule this stream for one week later on October 19th, this is because I am having internet issues and constantly dropping. I don’t want a sendoff stream to suffer this way, so I must apologize for this delay. But this in turn allows me to plan for Splatoon 3, Mario Party Jamboree, and Jackbox for this sendoff stream. The stream will be updated later today to compensate, this weekends collabs should still be a go, I just won’t be live on my end, and instead alert you all when my friends do go live.

Also ICYMI, I have a new Discord server, do NOT use the old Kingdom server anymore! Since I lost my account, I no longer have control what happens in the old server, please join this new one (linked below), and this’ll serve as the new base of operations. We’re working to rebuild this to the glory of the old Kingdom server!

discord.gg/2dWBVh4VjU

Happy October once again, and hope to see you all soon!
