Biography
Margie Sandoval is a musician, composer, and videographer. In her early teens she was the lead singer and drummer with Capitol Records recording artist The Girls. The group's most notable recording was the historical "Chico's Girl" which is featured on several Girl Group compilation recordings including "The Brill Building Sound". At age 15, she wrote The Girls second Capitol records release, "My Baby".
She studied at UCLA and received a degree in music with a specialization in Ethnomusicology. Later she graduated from Cal State University Long Beach with a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW).
Her interest in politics and social commentary is expressed in much of her songwriting. In addition to her original compositions she writes parodies. Together with her sister Diane they have created several parodies some of which have received airplay by Talk Show host Stephanie Miller. Margie continues to write music and perform her original compositions with her sisters.
