Hi everyone! I wanted to write to you all to say one last thanks for the memories we've all made with my Mario Kart Tour content. I was left with so many understanding comments and also some sad ones as well, people who are saying they're sad to see me leave Mario Kart Tour, and honestly, I too, can understand that. When thinking about retiring, I had to ask myself several times: "Do I really want to do this?" Even though I did eventually retire, I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel a little empty inside.
However, at the same time, I felt like maybe this was the right thing to do. If I was just getting tired of playing, grinding, recording and editing Mario Kart Tour, then I'm not really having fun anymore, right? I feel like this should be the case for every single content creator out there, I believe they should be posting what they personally want, because they have the most fun doing it, and that's OK.
One more thing I'll say though, I have a bunch of shorts to make from previous Mario Kart Tour videos. So I'll be making a few of those, because there's a lot of funny moments I've had with this game. Nevertheless, I'll be moving on to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and more very soon, and I really hope I'm able to see some of you there. Once again, thank you so much for supporting my Mario Kart Tour content over the years.

Hey guys!
Remember when I said I was running out of fresh new content to make? Well, I might just have an idea...
I recently got a capture card as a gift for graduating high school a few weeks ago, which will allow me to expand my content in general. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is an obvious must, so you don't have to tell me that, it's gonna happen ;)
But another idea I had, was actually Mario Kart Wii. To make things more interesting, I had actually installed CTGP (Custom Tracks) back in 2018, and barely ended up playing them due to other interests. I'm thinking we could maybe make a series out of this...
What do you say? Mario Kart Wii Custom Tracks content?

I've been thinking about something for a little bit...
I find myself not making the same kind of content as I used to, mostly because I was experimenting with other things. But judging from the attention some of my videos have been getting as of late, not that many have been performing well.
For example: I feel like barely anyone has been interested in multiplayer lately. Races just kinda died overtime, and Battles never got that much attention ever since they came out. I also feel like Meme videos have also died overtime.
That aside, I wanna make it extra clear that I'm aware that some people may prefer these over others, and that's fine, but when I notice that one series is getting more attention then the other as I work with both of them, I start thinking that it's probably getting old at this point, and that maybe I should find something new to make a series out of.
If I were to stop making the types of videos from above, that doesn't mean I'd delete the ones I've already made, they'd still be live for people who still wanna watch. But honestly, the choice is up to you guys. What should I do? What's your opinion on this?

I'm unfortunately gonna need to postpone my week 2 ranked gameplay for the Princess Tour, due to important reasons relating to school. The video will be uploaded tomorrow instead if I have time (which I probably should)
On the plus side, I've only got a week and a half left until I graduate, so postponing videos will come on rare occasions afterwards.

Hi There! My name is Metalsmith, but please, call me Metal :)
This channel is about all things Mario Kart, so if you're a fan of that stuff, you've come to the right place. For the past 4 years, the main focus of this channel was Mario Kart Tour, but I've decided to retire from that game due to lack of new content. Now the main focus has shifted over to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Whenever I have the time, I try to upload at least 1 video a week. I also plan to livestream more and more, but I'm still fairly new to it, so please bear with me.
I enjoy making content on other Mario Kart Games as well. Specifically, Mario Kart Wii, as I'm currently exploring every custom track from CTGP. I may also, very rarely, talk about a few other things outside of Mario Kart, but still relating to Nintendo, as I enjoy a little diversity every now and then.
