So... been a while, hasn't it?
I have very much not intended for my impromptu hiatus to last this long - my last video coincided with me getting a new job which is both full time, and further away than my old one - meaning I'm just not at home as much as I was and thus have less time to make things. I DO however have a handful of videos recorded which just need editing and voiceover recording - I fully intend to return! I am writing those scripts in between work and life and actually larping.
In the meantime, I've got a few plans brewing; as much as this is a costuming channel first, it is also a *LARP* channel, and I'd like to expand my repertoire of video ideas to include none-costume LARP things.
One last thing:
The name 'The Last Bazaar' was an invention of pre-Covid me, who was rebranding an old business, and who thought she may continue to sell things...
How wrong I was!
As I now don't have anything resembling the time to take commissions, and largely only make for myself, occasionally for a friend, and sometimes don't even have time to do that - I have decided to look into changing my channel/online presence name from The Last Bazaar (which sounds very much like the shop it was meant to be) into... something. More a nickname. More art persona-y.
I haven't yet decided what that is exactly, so please watch this space!

The Last Bazaar: Costume Design and Construction by Gemma Louise.
Costume design is a vast, vast subject that covers centuries of human history - and also worlds that don't even exist! Mostly focusing on historical & fantasy costuming, and primarily how it applies to LARP (live action role play) settings, I'll also be talking about general sewing and pattern making, going through the construction of garments, and the design process as it relates to costume and character.
THIS CHANNEL IS NOT DEAD!
I got a new job in April and everything has been a little bit hectic. I will still be posting videos, just probably not to a monthly schedule which is very hard to stick to when you're employed full time and the things you do take a long time to make!
Rest assured, I'll be back soon :)
