Buddhism allows the practitioner to develop beyond the state of Me, Myself and I. But ‘We’ must still live and function in the Human world, tackling human problems with Knowledge, Experience and Wisdom.

Humanistic Buddhism was a term started by the Venerable Master Hsing Yun of the Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Order, and the Buddha’s Light International Association. From one bowl of pickles and one act of kindness an amazing organisation developed compromising over 190 temples, over 1000 monastics and millions of lay followers worldwide which spreads Buddha’s teachings far and wide.
