When I was a medical student, I challenged the Fourteenth International Frederick Chopin Piano Competition(2000). I was away from the medical school and I started on music study with Prof. Joo Ann Koh in Vienna, it was in February 1999. I recorded Chopin's five works just for an application for Chopin Competition, only one year later. It was my long dream to perform Chopin's Piano Concerto op.11 at Warsaw, but I was not allowed to take part in the Chopin Competition. My long -cherished dream was shattered. The following year, I was awarded the International Prize "DIPLOMA D'ONORE" at the 11th A.M.A.CALABRIA International Piano Competition in Italy. Maestro François-Joël Thiollier, the President of the jury of the competition, was highly impressed by my musical talent and he expected me to become a successful international pianist in the future. However, I developed a subacute combined degeneration of spinal cord that left me limbless, so this recording was the first and Last.
