Electric Zen Sound / Casiotone Master / Fureasteen Channel
FUREASTEEN 【pronounce fə́ːr- íːstíːn】was formed in London in 1995 by Tomokazu Date, who had been creating experimental music in England and Europe. Tomokazu was an experienced musician, the others were Japanese students attending Saint Martin's School of Art. They spent every Sunday in their flat in Kings Cross making and recording experimental music using only cheap synthesizers and Casiotones. In 1997, they released a 7-inch single titled "KasioTelemusik" on I Records (a subsidiary of Che Records), but the band broke up shortly after. Only Tomokazu continues to make music under the name Fureasteen.
