In 1995, Rialto grew from the remains of Kinky Machine which featured singer Louis Eliot and guitarist Jonny Bull. With the addition of bassist Julian Taylor, drummer Pete Cuthbert and keyboardist Toby Hounsham, later that year they released "When We're Together" and "Untouchable which cracked the UK Top 20.
They found a loyal audience in South East Asia, notably South Korea, where they went double platinum and displaced Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" from the no. 1 spot. Girl On A Train EP followed in 2000, with accolades from NME and Q Magazine. By the time Rialto gathered to make their 2nd and final album, Night on Earth, Hounsham and Christmas had left the group. It was released in 2001.
