Lenny was born and raised in San Francisco, CA in a musical Italian family. He took 10 years of accordion lessons, not by his own choosing, but the decision of his parents. At age eight Lenny started lessons. His father was also an accordionist, and his mother a songwriter. Music was at the core of their family. Lenny is now very grateful the accordion was forced on him. His parents died before ever seeing the result of their investment. He has performed in the Seattle area for over 25 years, solo, with his duo, The RigaTones, and his youthful Primo Basso Band. The genre of music performed is typically classic Italian, and French. Lenny sings in several Italian dialects to accompany the music which consequently changes the arrangement of a song, alternating his voice and his fingers in leading the melody. His favorite music style to play is Valtaro Musette, a Northern Italian repertoire, that was popularized in America through the Italian cabaret culture of the 1930s- 1950s.
