I just finished an intense workout, and I felt like I just wrestled a bear.

I said to myself, "Whoa. I'm gonna be sore after this one. I wonder if I'll be able to train tomorrow?"

But, really though, how well is my body recovering?

There's a simple but powerful way to find out: the CO2 Tolerance Test.

It's not about how much you can lift or how fast you can run; it's about understanding your body's ability to recover.

The CO2 Tolerance Test is a tool used to measure your body's efficiency in handling carbon dioxide, which can be an indicator of your overall fitness and recovery ability. Let's dive into what this test is all about, why it's important, and how incorporating it into your routine can transform your approach to training and recovery.

Lower back pain? Try this to develop those inner core fibers, the usual suspect for causing back pain (weak core).

- Finalized 'Bootcamp: Body Recomposition' course.

I learned so many lessons along the way (mainly sharing so I have a record):

No more perfectionism: As a solopreneur, falling into the trap of seeking perfection has often delayed my projects, hindering growth and potentially jeopardizing my business. Embracing progress over perfection is my new mantra.

Simplicity as a tool: A simple chalkboard sign outside the Sqwod Pod with a handwritten message has unexpectedly become my most effective marketing strategy. It's a testament to the power of simplicity.

Surround yourself with winners: Solopreneurship is hard. I'm committed to surrounding myself with individuals who are not just optimistic and supportive but also share a winner's mindset. Iā€™m looking for professional sports teams or corporate teams to coach regularly in 2024.

Stay positive: Most days are hard, but they donā€™t have to be shitty. Affirmations, avoiding negative self-talk, and avoiding the news, and social media in the first half of the day all help.

Embracing bilingual challenges: As part of a bilingual family, speaking both English and German has its complexities. Even though German is tough, I've found that it had a significant impact on my personal and professional relationships. To keep things rolling, Iā€™m dedicating Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to speaking only German at home.

A realistic view of social media: Stepping away from social media for most of 2022 was an eye-opener. It's a world often misaligned with reality, highlighting the worst aspects of human nature. Stay grounded and donā€™t let the curated chaos of the internet distort your perception of the real world.

Redefining productivity: Understanding that not everything can be achieved in a single day has been liberating. You can do it all, just not all at once. One step forward is progress.

Personal fitness: The combination of walks, runs, and 2 x per week HIRT training feels good, and not only that, has made weight training so much more fun because I use these sessions to try new things. My body fat has decreased and my muscle mass has stayed. Win/Win.

Iā€™m sure I forgot some, but writing much more in 2024 should allow me to have a nice bank of lessons come Jan ā€™25.

Happy New Year. Letā€™s get it!

The mistakes 99% of people make when they want to lose fat:

Bad habit #1: Neglecting the importance of a high-protein diet for muscle building and fat loss.
Bad habit #2: Failing to track their diet and make necessary adjustments for progress.
Bad habit #3: Overlooking the benefits of morning training and intermittent fasting.
Bad habit #4: Underestimating the effectiveness of walking as a sustainable form of cardio.
Bad habit #5: Not prioritizing adequate sleep for metabolism optimization and overall well-being.

Avoid as many of these as possible. Here is how: lttr.ai/AJZfS
