We are in the middle of the thrilling 2025 PCC World Shoot in the Czech Republic! ( @shooter_danyela ) My oldest Danyela and I were fortunate enough to represent Team USA at the IPSC Rifle World Shoot in Finland last year. She’s now ranked 18th in the World. Once again wearing the red white and
blue colors that don’t run! We are among the 50 countries represented here. Along with 85 other Americans, we are blasting paper and steel targets with our Pistol Caliber Carbine @jprifles setups firing ALL @remington 9MM. This being only our second World Shoot we are newbies to it all. Having competed all over the United States in @theuspsa Pistol, @ipscworld Rifle, and Outlaw Three Gun doesn’t really compare to these international events. All of the autograph signings at SHOT Show and NRAAM are fun. Our countless relationships with sponsors and endorsement deals are amazing. The hundreds of local matches that we shoot yearly are exhilarating. Our friends in the shooting sports are life changing. Our practice sessions are tedious at worst and enlightening at best.
Living this lifestyle comes down to one word; Competition. Many are competing with those in their division. Others are competing against themselves. Some are shooting against only their buddies. The best in the field seem to be honing their skills to win over everyone. I Can only speak for myself when I say I do this for my Daughter. Watching her evolve as a shooter has been great. Seeing her bloom as a woman and a strong intelligent individual has been absolutely priceless. Those who know me would never believe I’ve been “at a loss for words” at any point. When I watch my oldest interact with the field of competition I’m glad I’m wearing eye protection so no one notices my real emotion.
