Today is the anniversary of the sinking of the British steamship SS Atlantic. Sank on April 1, 1873 off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada, striking rocks in fog. There were about 957 people on board, of whom only about 300 survived.🚢 | Rest in Peace🕊
