Syed Ali Meesum was born in Hyderabad, India. He belongs to an illustrious family of Nauhakhwans and marsiya khwans. His late father Syed Dostdar Ali Abidi was the Sardar e NauhaKhan of Hyderabad’s oldest Anjuman Groh e Hussaini.
Syed Ali Meesum was inspired by his illustrious father and took to reciting nauhas at the young age of 8.
The love of the Ahlulbayth a.s. has been an integral part of his life and his childhood was spent listening to his father. His recitations were always appreciated and those became the foundation for him to start reciting officially. Syed Ali Meesum has started reciting officially after the demise of his beloved father in 2020. He follows in the footsteps of his eminent father who was a very well-known marsiya and nohakhawn.
