Home to the largest musical library in the country, EMI (Pakistan) Ltd commenced its journey in 1948 as “The Gramophone Company of Pakistan”, with full shareholding of His Master’s Voice (HMV) Group UK. Subsequent to the divestment of the EMI UK Group in 1991, the company adopted its current name EMI (Pakistan) Ltd in 1993.
Our extensive archival records consist of tracks from a variety of genres ranging from Ghazals, Qawwalis, Pure Eastern Classical music, Popular (Pop) music as it changed from time to time, Instrumentals, Films soundtracks, Folk Music, etc. The repertoire of tracks is over 60,000 unique gems and the library continues to grow.
