āIāve been putting off making this post for a while, but I have a pretty big life announcement to make. After 6 years of transitioning, Iāve decided to go back to using she/her pronouns.
Coming to terms with the idea of detransitioning has not been easy, and Iām very grateful to the friends, loved ones, and fellow reenactors whoāve been there to offer support and understandingāand contributed to my growing collection of wimple pins.
Iād like to emphasise that, although they werenāt right for me, social and medical transition are important and often lifesaving for many. My experiences are not universal and should not be used to invalidate anybody elseās.
The last few months have been difficult to navigate, but Iām looking forward to the coming reenactment season, and gradually building up a new historical wardrobe from scratch.

Quick update for anyone wondering why I didnāt upload on Monday: Iāve been very very busy getting ready for a major life event! In case you couldnāt guess by the terrible pun (sorry, I saw a chance and took it), Iām headed to the hospital, and am about to go into top surgery this morning. I donāt quite know when Iāll be back to uploading, but I hope it will be soon. While Iām very excited to take this step in my transition, Iām also very nervous about surgeryāif any of you all are religious, Iād appreciate a quick prayer!
