Hi everyone.
Happy new years! π Hope you all managed to get into 2025 well.
A small update from me and what my plan is in the near future.
I'm currently designing the final level of the game, meaning once I'm done with that, the game can actually be played from start to finish :)
Obviously everything is still super rough around the edges and there's temporary graphics everywhere, but it will be nice to finally start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
And because of that, I'll soon begin to look for some playtesters to try out the new levels and provide feedback on the design, difficulty and so on.
I'll make another post about it when the time comes, so stay tuned.
Also, Thomas Brush (the big gamedev youtuber) decided to make a dedicated video about my game and the 2 other games competing in an indie game showdown. It's a trimmed down version of the live stream, but with some added bits (and maybe a face reveal? π)

And lastly, I just wanna say a huge thanks to everyone here for following along my journey. I know that progress is slow and videos are far in between, so thank you for having patience. I'm still working on it, almost every day.

Hey everyone!
It's the end of the year which means time for family and holidays. I'm still clucking along with the game, slowly but surely.
There won't be another video out before the end of this year (sorry), but I'm planning on something big for early next year.. maybe you'll be able to play the demo soonβ’ π

Hey everyone, just a quick update for those wondering:
No, I won't be switching engines for this project as I'm already waaay in too deep. But nevertheless, I'm still extremely disappointed with the whole Unity monetization and mismanagement that's currently going on. It's very clear ever since they went public, things have just gotten worse and worse, and for many this will be the last straw, understandably so.
I'm just hoping that they're going to somehow turn this around with that small amount of good will they might still have left.. There's some talented people at this company and the engine itself is a great piece of software (for the most part).
Anyways, I'll get back to making my game. The next devlog might be a little later than usual. I try to hit 1 devlog per month, but this one might get delayed a few weeks. I've been busy with life lately, but I'm getting back into gamedev again now.
It will primarily be focused on the UI/UX part of the MVP, so stay tuned for that!
Also, thanks for all the great comments and feedback on my latest video! I'm taking it all in and addressing it one way or another.
