Chaya Feuerman, LCSW-R EMDR IFS
Trauma comes in many different forms. My specialty practice focuses on all forms of trauma, including physical and emotional abuse and neglect, sexual abuse and exploitation, spiritual and religious abuse, educational abuse and neglect, financial exploitation, environmental traumas including vehicular accidents and natural disasters as well as complex grief and loss.
IFS and EMDR are psychotherapy models that reach for deeper exploration, understanding and resolution of disturbing material. Unlike traditional ‘Talk Therapy’ EMDR and IFS seek to journey toward the root underlying causes of distress rather than simply being heard and validated with compassion. Both achieve these goals only via different paths of clinical protocol. I often use both models in the same session. Some clients prefer one specific model and many appreciate both.
