My primary exercises are bench press,incline press,barbell curls,pull ups,squats,hanging leg raises for abs. I began pumping iron at 14. In the early 70s I trained in my backyard, a lot people had homemade backyard bench presses made out of wood and they would use rusty old steel weights and cement weights mixed together for what some people can only afford. I also went to old dungeon style corner gyms back in the 70s that still had solid globe barbells and dumbbells and dirt floors. I haven't been a gym member since '89. i now train at home.
