East Asia Institute (EAI) is a nonprofit, independent, private think tank founded in 2002. EAI strives to produce, advocate, and educate policy ideas and recommendations through interdisciplinary research in the fields of social sciences, including international relations, governance, public opinion, and democracy studies. Furthermore, it effectively utilizes its domestic and global knowledge network to bolster its endeavors. EAI is a founding member of the Council of Councils, sponsored by the Council on Foreign Relations.
