Jamie Thomson trained at the Royal Ballet School and The Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance. He subsequently performed with various companies in the UK, such as Scottish Ballet and Vienna Festival Ballet.
He was the winner of the prestigious Ursula Moreton Choreographic Award with his piece Me, Myself and I Alone.
Jamie was resident choreographer for New English Contemporary Ballet until Feb 2010. During that time he choreographed his first major piece for New English Contemporary Ballet, .com together, which was a semi-finalist in The 23rd Choreographic Competition in Hannover, and created Ctrl-Alt-Delete for the company in Spring 2009. His last venture saw him take NYD in association with NECB to the Edinburgh Fringe where the show, Something About Others received high critical acclaim.
