Atop Diamond Head State Park, you see all of downtown Honolulu and Waikiki, with hundreds of bright, white high rises, towering above the sandy beaches, layered in palm trees and boats. The ocean water is a bold aqua blue, and the crashing waves into the coast produce beautiful, white sea foam, and mist. In the other direction, you see the rugged, hillside and mountains of Oahu. These hills, a bold jungle green, are layered with white and beige homes and buildings. It's incredibly windy up here. There's a very evident scent of ocean water. The beige sand beaches, which are dotted by hundreds of palm trees, are greeted by crashing Pacific waves of the boldest shades of blue and aqua-green imaginable.
