The Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund was created by order of the President of Russia on February 2, 2010. The Fund's mission is to develop public diplomacy and create a favorable social, political and business climate for Russia abroad.
For this purpose the Fund:
1. financially supports Russian and foreign NGOs for public diplomacy projects implementation;
2. conducts its own programs and projects for young experts, political scientists, social activists and journalists;
3. interacts with think tanks for Russia's foreign policy analytical support;
4. creates discussion platforms in Russia and abroad.
