Hello folks. Over the last few months I got a certain quantity of emails asking for info about the acoustic guitar l do play to play the melody on some of my backing tracks posted on my YT channel and many of you also wanted to find out more about its sound. I have no time to reply to all the emails so l thought l'd post about the subject on here.


So here it goes.

The guitar is an EKO - NXT 018 CW EQ NATURAL which is being displayed in the picture attached to this post.

Now, the guitar is a cheap one yet good for the price and comes out of the box with some flaws that one must correct even though EKO Company states it's a good guitar for beginners. I can't figure out how a beginner could play such a guitar out of the box for the action is as high as a skyscraper; no kidding about that.

The guitar underwent through quite an extended set up to make it playable which l can't explain on here as it would take much of my time.


Some of you asked for info about the "thin" sound of the guitar. The so called trick about the sound are the strings l'm using. I do play a standard set of electric guitar strings (0.10-.046) whatever brand as l don't pay much attention to it; the sound is the same even though l play different brands of strings.

Many of you also asked for the price paid for the guitar. I paid it € 129,00 (brand new & taxes included).
